Welcome to the seemingly innocent home of the Rogers family. Clean, pristine, and perhaps all too perfect, their home is unsettling and upon closer inspection you realize that something isn’t right.

It's the end of the world and the audience finds itself trapped in a 1950's sitcom with a twist...it's not just television. Can you survive without changing the channel? Don’t miss your chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Rogers and their two darling children Dick and Jane as they discover the truth to their history and identity.

D is for Dog explores the notion of environmentality and conservation in new and exciting ways using iconographic imagery from the 1950s with a startling element of horror. This project features puppetry elements, new music inspired by television programs from the 1950s, amazing video elements, and surround sound audio that encloses the audience in each terrifying moment.

This project was featured in the Orange County Weekly and Garden Grove Gazette.

D is for Dog was developed by Rogue Artists Ensemble at the University of California, Irvine, during November and December of 2003. The project premiered at the Garden Grove Playhouse in Garden Grove, CA in January of 2004 to an alarming response that resonated with excitement and support for Rogue Artists Ensemble.

D is for Dog was one of our first projects and we are currently looking into creating a newly updated staging of this exciting production.

“Animals! Ohhh. A very valuable book indeed. All gone now. We aren’t allowed to read about these things now are we? One might get into trouble if he chooses to read about such things, such forbidden things. Things that...that...NO LONGER EXIST!”
