HYPERBOLE: origins auditions
Fresh from the success of its award-winning original work, Gogol Project, Rogue Artists Ensemble announces auditions for their newest Hyper-theatrical project, HYPERBOLE: origins. Utilizing incredible effects and integrating sophisticated technology to explore myths of origin and creation in a series of live music videos, this world-premiere mask and puppet-infused play opens at Inside the Ford in October. When: July 11th – 10am – 3pm, by appointment only. How: Submit a résumé and headshot with list of related experience to audition(at)rogueartists.org or visit www.rogueartists.org/audition What: Prepare a one-minute physical character performance piece with or without dialogue that contains a beginning, middle and end. Feel free to use a mask, props or puppets, but the audition must incorporate your entire body. Dress comfortably and be prepared for improv or mime prompts for callbacks. Callbacks: 3-5pm on July 11th. Callbacks will be as a group and will utilize masks, music and object play to help get a sense of how you work with others and what your creative process is.
